Upon completion, the 75-metre tall tower was the tallest in Nicosia, the 3rd tallest in Cyprus, and is now home to Wargaming, one of the largest Cyprus-based companies.
Studwelders CFD has completed many export orders to Cyprus since CMF initiated production of MetFloor steel decking in 2008, exporting over 100,000 square metres of MetFloor steel decking to Cypriot projects in that time. The Wargames HQ is adds a further 3500 square metres of decking to this total. Studwelders CFD is proud to have established a leading presence in the Cypriot metal decking market, and hopes to supply MetFloor steel decking and CSC steel shear studs to future projects across the island.
The Wargaming HQ, formerly called the Presidental building due to its proximity to the Presidental Palace in Nicosia, was at the time of completion, the tallest building in Nicosia and the 3rd tallest in Cyprus. It now houses the headquarters of the Minsk-based Wargaming company, which was founded in Belarus in 1998 and has become an award-winning online game developer and publisher. Their flagship product is the free-to-play World Of Tanks online multiplayer game, but they produce online, PC, Mobile and console games. They have 4500 employees across 20 branches located across the globe, but their HQ is based in Nicosia and was completed in 2015.
The tower has 15 floors and a completed height of 75 metres. The tower was constructed using a steel framework and steel decking, and the roof was coated in photo-voltaic panels to improve energy efficiency. The steelwork was undertaken by a leading Cypriot steel fabricator. It is the first Class A energy efficiency building in Cyprus.
